ABOUT US
You don’t have to travel far to be inspired by the wonders of nature. Some of Europe’s most beautiful and important wildlife is right here on your doorstep. Every year, Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust helps people get closer to nature.
As a registered charity, we rely on the generous support of our members and other donors. Our members help us manage our nature reserves, run conservation projects, deliver environmental education activities and provide thousands of volunteering opportunities each year.
Living Landscapes is a national conservation project at the heart of the Wildlife Trusts’ vision. It co-ordinates our action nationwide by reconnecting habitats and working with nature to provide the essential ecosystem services that we all depend on for life.
WHO WE ARE
Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust is a registered charity and works with the local community towards a better future for wildlife, people and the green spaces we all love. We are also part of a national network of 46 Wildlife Trusts, working together for a better deal for nature and people locally and in the wider world.
WHAT WE DO
Our vision is to see a Living Landscape – an amazing, green landscape for the wildlife and people of Sheffield and Rotherham – which is understood, enjoyed and cared for by local people and organisations.
We are guided by three outcomes to help us achieve this vision:
Creating a Network for Nature
Connecting people with nature
Taking action for nature and wildlife
