Grade GResponsible for exploring and developing new business opportunities, managing the successful development of offers, building strong and effective relationships with appropriate partner/supplier contacts and project managing specific elements of strategic projects, whilst exercising a sound combination of commercial and technical rigor to help achieve BP's growth objectives.

bp has set out a new strategy that will shift the company from being an international oil company focused on producing resources to an integrated energy company focused on delivering solutions to customers.

At the heart of our strategy is low carbon electricity and energy, building scale in renewables and bioenergy, seeking early positions in hydrogen and CCUS, and building out a customer gas portfolio to complement these low carbon energies.

As the Structurer in Gas & Low Carbon Energy (G&LCE) you will play a pivotal role in  reshaping bp’s business. You will be at the heart of bp’s strategy implementation, driving growth through new low carbon investments.

You will be responsible for designing capital structures, providing insightful financial analysis, and project evaluation to senior stakeholders in bp G&LCE and the wider Group. You will be a key member of the deal teams, working closely with the originators, commercial developers and bp functions including Mergers & Acquisitions, bp Treasury and Tax.

Key Accountabilities:

• Structure financing for renewable inorganic growth opportunities and design new funding instruments
• Advise on financing or funding structures for greenfield developments, including bankability of project contracts
• Deliver valuation for renewable energy opportunities and evaluate key metrics accurately for projects
• Optimise M&A deal structures using a range of financing options and agreement types
• Support due diligence for renewable energy projects and contribute to deal negotiations and development of contractual agreements
• Provide insight and challenge to help decision makers select the project that generates the greatest return and provides the most value for the business
• Drive internal governance process and internal decision support packs
• Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions and advisors

Essential Experience:

• Experience working with within power/energy markets, renewables is preferrable
• Working experience in a structuring role within project finance, debt advisory or M&A in infrastructure or renewables
• Ideally a degree in technical, finance or business discipline
• Deep understanding of the renewable energy sector
• A post-graduate MBA or equivalent would be advantageous.
