An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with a renowned Consultancy Company in the UK Solar PV Sector. Location for this role is flexible, with a preference for candidates based in either the Greater London area, Northern England or Central Scotland.

The successful candidate will advise and direct company clients around the feasibility, procurement and installation of Solar PV equipment and provide expertise on issues such as funding, contractors, data analysis and grid connection.

The role will encompass a diverse range of clients from rural businesses to large industrial warehouses. The successful candidate will ideally have private wire experience and understand the contract structures that must be put in place between a landlord and occupier.

Please note that this role will involve a certain amount of remote working so the client requires flexibility and a willingness to travel to client sites when required.

As well as around five years industry experience, candidates must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, have a passion for Solar and Renewable Energy and take pride in guiding clients to find the solutions that suit them best.

Further requirements include;

Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively, being articulate both orally and in writing to clients and colleagues

Good negotiating skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels

Ability to build rapport with a variety of people from different backgrounds

Exercise confidentiality and discretion at all times

Excellent client care skills and the ability to prioritise work

The ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure deadlines are met

A willingness to undertake business development and to grow the rooftop solar offering

A high standard of written English and numerical skills

Must be comfortable with basic physics principles and be competent with mathematics (further education in these subjects are not required)

Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to consider commercial aspects of a project

Ability to present and communicate information and analysis in a logical and engaging way

Good communication skills and be a team player

Flexible worker – willing to travel
