Land Manager - Solar and Battery, Berkshire, UK. Salary range �44,600 – �66,000 + car/allowance + bonus + benefits
This is a great opportunity with a leading distributed energy and private networks business who finance, own, operate and maintain energy infrastructure for commercial, industrial, public sector, and residential customers - providing them with a market leading project development service and certainty of operational performance and asset management.
The role and responsibilities
Working within the Land Team you will manage the delivery and negotiate the terms of options, leases, purchases and agreements for land, wayleaves, easements, and highways permissions to enable the delivery of large, complex solar and battery energy storage projects.
* As an expert in your field, you will support the acquisitions and project delivery teams, who have overall responsibility for the development and delivery of the projects at differing stages in their life cycle.
* You will be required to manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast paced and demanding environment.
* You will represent the company, agreeing commercial and legal terms with landowners and land agents.
Job requirements
* Degree qualified and ideally a member of the RICS.
* Prior experience of land management across either rural or commercial sectors.
* Good working knowledge of relevant Landlord and Tenant legislation.
* Experienced negotiator of leases, options, land acquisition, easements and wayleaves.
* Previous planning and development experience of projects involving multiple land ownership would be advantageous.
* Experience in the renewables sector is preferred.
* Can-do attitude and be expected to identify land and planning related risks and develop proposals to mitigate them to secure deliverable projects.
* Self-sufficient but enjoy working and delivering within a team environment.
