Responsibilities:
As an Associate/Technical Director, you will collaborate with technical environmental specialists and design teams across multiple sectors. Your role will involve directing and leading environmental teams and contributing to project designs and assessments. You will significantly impact improving the environmental performance of diverse projects.
Ideal for an enthusiastic individual eager to lead and deliver environmental aspects of engineering projects, this role involves directing projects, including recruitment, bidding, team management, project delivery, and financial oversight. You'll play a key role in expanding our client's offerings in the water sector, working alongside sector leads and client account managers to provide thought leadership and secure new business.
Your responsibilities will also include offering environmental advice, promoting sustainable design, leading complex projects, building client relationships, and seeking new business opportunities. You will contribute to innovative techniques, drive performance improvement, and foster a positive team culture.
Qualifications:
- Relevant environmental/planning degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable experience in EIA delivery for major water schemes.
- Familiarity with consenting processes like Habitats Regulations Assessments and SSSI Assents.
- Thorough knowledge of a wide range of environmental issues.
- Proven line management experience and a track record of developing and upskilling teams.
- Evidence of successfully driving business growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
