Starting salary:  £41,132 rising to £44,988 per annum through annual increments being paid each year (pro rata for part time applicants)

The role

This is a rare opportunity to become an instrumental member of the Industry & Waste Regulation Team at Natural Resources Wales.

The post holder will protect and enhance the environment by effective and efficient regulation of the most complex or highest risk industrial installations, COMAH (Control of Major Accidents and Hazards) sites, RSR (Radioactive Substances Regulation) sites and waste sites.

You will respond safely, timely and efficiently to environmental incidents/reports and undertake appropriate investigation work. 

Through application of our regulatory principles you will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, undertake proportionate enforcement action and achieve multiple tangible benefits from our regulatory interventions.

As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to an NRW office within the place base / location above and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance.
