Job Title: Head of Low Carbon Infrastructure Projects
We are seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated individual with a background in low carbon infrastructure projects, asset management, and business/product development to join our award-winning social enterprise. You will play a key role in advancing our mission to combat climate change and foster a more inclusive and sustainable future.
About the Role:
This is a prominent position within the executive team of a nationally recognized social enterprise, leading the charge in urban community energy. With ambitious goals for growth and impact, you will work closely with the Executive Team to define and achieve the organization’s strategic priorities, business plan, and overall goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Low Carbon Infrastructure Team, which currently comprises seven staff working across both domestic and non-domestic projects, including:
- Rooftop solar installations
- Communal heat networks
- Retrofit assessment and coordination
- Data collection and analysis
- Asset management
- Ensure high-quality installations and performance of all low carbon assets, meeting or exceeding expected outcomes.
- Oversee the development and refinement of processes for evaluating, deploying, and maintaining low carbon infrastructure and retrofit solutions.
- Drive the continuous improvement of retrofit products and services offered to community groups, building owners, and public sector organizations, including local authorities.
- Support the creation of innovative financial solutions that enable a broader range of households, businesses, and communities to engage in community-led retrofit initiatives.
- Develop and strengthen long-term partnerships with stakeholders, including supply chain partners, to support the organization’s growth.
- Increase employment opportunities for young people in the low carbon sector by shaping procurement strategies and collaborating on training programs both in-house and with external partners.
