Job Title: Experienced Landscape Planner / Landscape Architect
Location: London, Bedford or Woodbridge (Hybrid Working Available)
Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time (minimum 3 days/week)

Overview:
A respected and award-winning environmental planning and landscape consultancy is seeking an experienced Landscape Planner or Landscape Architect to join its multidisciplinary team. This senior-level role offers a strong focus on landscape planning and provides opportunities for involvement in design-led projects across various sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the landscape planning offer and contribute to the leadership and strategic growth of the practice.

Role & Responsibilities:

*

Lead and deliver landscape planning projects including appraisals, character assessments, capacity studies, and LVIA/EIA.
*

Prepare high-quality, context-driven landscape assessments to inform planning applications and design strategies.
*

Collaborate with a diverse internal team including planners, urban designers, ecologists, and arboriculturists, as well as liaise directly with clients and external consultants.
*

Support project delivery at all stages, from feasibility through to planning and appeal.
*

Assist with or lead client liaison, project management, and business development initiatives.
*

Contribute to mentoring junior team members and shaping internal best practices in landscape planning.
*

Optionally participate in expert witness work or develop this skillset as part of professional development.

Requirements:

*

Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
*

Strong expertise in landscape planning and assessment
*

Excellent written and analytical skills
*

Sound understanding of the UK planning system and its relationship to landscape issues
*

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative working
*

Ability to manage clients and projects with confidence
*

Familiarity with the full planning and design process
*

Valid UK driving licence
*

Right to work in the UK
